Frank Perkins professional Portrait Artist studied fine art under Sir Lawrence Gowing and A. I. Prokofiev. Also a talented Classical Guitarist he became an Associate of the Royal College of Music in 1981 after studying with Head of Guitar Studies Prof. Patrick Basford. He later completed his graduate studies at Manchester University.
Influenced by the premier coup alla prima technique of John Singer Sargent, Frank began his career in portraiture in 1983 and now works as a professional portrait painter. His commissions come from leading companies and clients throughout the UK and Europe.
The Portrait Artist now lives and works in the Lake District in the North of England.
His passion is to enoble the sitter, reflecting their likeness and personality, capturing those special elements that truly convey the uniqueness of the sitter.
